Listening to Young Artists Speak

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The creative catalyst for dialogue will be a series of video interviews with young artists who are seeking new forms of expression within arts for social change / community engaged art (ASC). As the unique practices associated with this field endeavour to become institutionalized, we will together unpack what matters and what needs to be preserved from the past as it is re-imagined in the future. We will explore some of the key concepts that have emerged in our inquiry, such as: the need for nuanced facilitation; attention to how the work is framed; the intention of engagement; aesthetics; the desire for and lack of community.
